Jablonski Properties

Two properties were gifted to the Town of Randolph, between Powers Farm and Bear Swamp. This video shows some of the property and proposes how to make a pedestrian trail though the swamp as the core of a "Randolph Greenway".

A "greenway" means a pedestrian/bicycle path in a "linear park" where you can walk for several miles mostly off-road (mostly). The Jablonski properties could create a "Randolph Greenway" from Powers Farm to Bear Swamp, with the Dog Park path in between. The Randolph Greenway would cross Grove Street, West Street, and Warren Street or Mazzeo Drive -- about 2.5 miles total.

In contrast, an "emerald necklace" means there are sections of non-park in between, with some streets to walk for a few blocks instead of just crossing a street. When you leave each park, there's another park awaiting you, just down the road, with signage indicating the next "emerald" and which streets to walk to get there.

Town Councilor Jesse Gordon is committed to building the Randolph Greenway.
